Stanley Goes to See Bridal Veil Falls

We went on a bush walk to see Bridal Veil Falls.

A bush walk is another term for hiking.

The falls were beautiful. They were 55m high.

The vegetation in New Zealand is very tropical.

I kept thinking a dinosaur was going to crash through the dense forest!

Stanley Stays in Raglan

Stanley went on a vacation with the Nichol's to a little surfing town called Raglan.

It is on the west coast of New Zealand about 2 hours from Auckland.

We stayed in a campground that has old trains that have been made into places to sleep!

The mountain in the back of this picture is an old volcano.

Stanley Goes Surfing

Stanley went to the ocean and went surfing.

He was very good at catching the right wave!

Surfing is really popular in New Zealand.

Stanley Goes to School

Stanley got to go to school with Danae and MacKenzie.

The students wear uniforms to school in New Zealand.

The school year starts in February and ends in December.

December is summer time in New Zealand,

so we have summer and Christmas vacation at the same time!

Stanley on the Set of Deal or No Deal

Stanley got to go on a very special outing!

He was in the audience of the filming of the first ever Deal or No Deal in New Zealand.

The man dressed in black was the contestant.

He won $50,000.

Stanley Goes to One Tree Hill

Stanley went on a picnic to One Tree Hill with the Nichol's church.

The tree in this picture is a magnolia tree.

It is very, very old!

In spring time it will be full of beautiful white flowers.

You can also see in this picture that there are people

from all over the world who live in New Zealand.

It is interesting to learn about different cultures.

Stanley comes to New Zealand

Stanley went to visit Carter's cousins, the Nichol's, in Auckland, New Zealand.

New Zealand has 2 islands and the Nichol's live on the North Island in Auckland.
